new add-a-leaf and shackles (1 Viewer)

I would like to put these on but I'm not sure what the bset way would be to get it done. I was thinking of just talking the leafs off and than take the u-bolts off from around the axles. Would it be a good idea to get new u-bolts before I put it back together?

i'm not sure what you're asking exactly, so first things first....make triple sure nothing is going to fall after the bolts come out! you'll need jack stands under the frame, a floor jack under the axle helps move it around and line things up. I'd only do one axle at a time, one side at a time. don't rely on a hi-lift while you're under the truck.

yes, get new ubolts. get new centering pins, especially if you're using shims. might need a BFH to remove the old shackle pins.
