Hello all
Just bought a stock 76 FJ40 with dog dish hubcaps. Tires r beat. Looking for opinions on tire choice on a no lift stock FJ. Looking for better drive ability and killer look while retaining hubcaps. Also any plug recommended for stock 2 F motor??? Thank u in advance. FJ will join a 96 80 series in the stable.

BFG 30X9.50R15 ATs would be nice on the stock rims. I'm running those tires on FJ62 chrome spoke wheels on my '71 FJ40. I'm running BFG LT235/75R15 ATs on FJ60 chrome spoke wheels on my '76 FJ40.

The first photo is my '76 FJ40 with the BFG LT235/75 R15 ATs and FJ60 chrome spoke wheels. The second photo is a BFG 30X9.50R15 AT on an FJ60 chrome spoke wheel. The third photo is half of my running FJX0 fleet - the '71 FJ40 on the right has BFG 30X9.50R15 ATs on FJ62 chrome spoke wheels. The fourth photo is my '76 FJ40 (vehicle on the left in the third photo) when it had stock wheels and hubcaps and BFG 30X9.50R15 ATs. Yours would look better because of the surface rust on mine.

^^ This. I've run different types of plugs and these seem to run cleaner and longer than any others in my '75 2f

As far as plugs go- I've always ran with NGK Iridium plugs. They have the best spark/flame propagation, and anti-fouling characteristics.
