Been lurking here for a bit, soaking up as much info as possible before buying an 00' LX that I probably should have passed on (desperate times). I recently sold my impossibly clean 03' V8 4WD 4runner and mint 1st gen Tacoma (for wayyyyyy too little :bang:) before that, to finally accomplish my dream of owning a 100 series.

200k - 1 owner (massive folder of service records)
So Cal forever
Very clean paint
Heat barely works
Very neglected AHC and steering components
Somehow drives like a 40 foot sail boat, and a slammed Civic simultaneously
Awful chrome wheels
Vibrations and Noises aplenty

Currently spending all my money meant for Christmas presents on:
- Rear control arms (upper and lower)
- Front LCA
- Wheel Bearings (maybe just repack/torque)
- CV rebuild
- Tie rod ends
- Steering rack bushings
- Upper BJ
- Clock spring
- Fluids (all of them)
- Coolant flush / Core back-flush
- Door lock relay
- Lotsss in the "need to buy" column still

About to head down the AHC rabbit hole once my OBD2 cable arrives (The YotaMD checklist is amazing btw). Theres a lot of dried up gunk on the rear rams, but they don't seem to currently leak. Might be wishful thinking that new fluid and pressure adjustment could revive them. Seems like such a cool system, I'd like to at least experience it before giving up on it. I'll take it step by step for now and then decide on swapping to traditional LC suspension.

I love owning a truck with a solid community behind it, so I'm looking forward to wrenching and learning the platform!!
