Hi, I am getting new tires for my 92 FJ80 and I will be using my stock 15x7 rims. I was wondering if any of you guys have pictures of BFG Mud Terrain KM2 or All-Terrain in 33x10.50R15 size on your 80 series LC. I want to see how it looks on FJ80s and would love to see it in different angles. Front, Back and side.

Thanks in advance :)

Are there any issues using 33s on the stock 15/7 wheels ?
Any problems losing the bead off road or abnormal tire wear ?

33x10.5x15 works fine on a 7x15" rim. You can air down ridiculously low and not have issues unless you're trying to climb out of a deep rut with lots of throttle.

I ran this on my fzj80 for a while until I moved up to 315s. Works great. Caveat: 35" tires only cost a few bucks more per tire, and NOW would be a good time to decide.

Reason I had the 33s on 15" was that they were on my previous 84 mini pickup that, once sold, funded my new tires. Otherwise I would have skipped the 33s all together.

I like the idea and look of 315s or 35s but I think 33s on the 3FE trucks is max without re-gearing or other mods.
Hell, even the stock 31s are a chore for 91/92 trucks on mountain passes.

Is here anybody with the early (7 x 15) factory rims and running the later and bigger (93 on) brakes at the front axle.

Does it fit without grinding?

I've heard that 15" rims will fit on the later trucks, but only with grinding. I believe that applies to both 7" and 8" wide 15" rims, but someone with more hands on experience can confirm.

The 15s fit on the front just fine.

On the rear of my 97 I needed to clearance the rear pad bracket with a grinder for the 7x15" steelies that I had from my 84 pickup. I *believe* these are the same rims used on the land cruisers of that era. White steelies.

Took about 10 minutes of grinding on one side, and three minutes on the second side, plus a squirt of silver paint.

Great Pictures! Thank you so much guys... I am definitely getting the 33x10.50 (Hoping I get enough from tax return) Thanks again
