Like the title says I need to borrow a press to install a cam gear on my 40. Trying to get it back together by Saturday for a family camping trip. I'd appreciate any help or leads. Thanks!

BTW I'm in Mt Juliet so the closer the better.

Is this an in the engine bay job or a put it in a stand up press job?

It's a put in a press job. The cam is out I just need to put the gear on it. I called the local parts store and they do not have a press to borrow.

Any machine shop or auto repair shop worth their salt would do it for little of anything. I'd be happy to let you use mine but I'm 200 mls away.

I have a 20 ton press in my shop.

Roger, I figured you would have one. I was hoping to find one slightly closer. I have a couple of leads here locally if they don't work out I'll give you a shout.

I have a 12T at the house that might do the job. Not sure where in Mt Juliet you are, but I live just across the lake on 171 about ten minutes south of providence. I have to pick up my tater tot tonight and since mom is out of town we will be dining out but should be home around 7. gimmie a shout and we can see what we can work out. 731-six nine seven-3290

Jynx, I got your message while I was at the shop getting the gear pulled. However, they destroyed the copper retainer behind the gear.

So, I order the last one Onur had and apparently that's the last one since they are now discontinued. When it gets here I'll give you a call if that works.

Sounds good, but now I'm kinda parenoid knowing the last of anything is at stake.

If you have no luck and want to make the drive I have a 60 ton in columbia
