I need to replace the inlet hose that runs from the air cleaner box to the AXT turbo. Looks to be 2.75" (70mm) i.d. at the air cleaner side. Is the AXT inlet diameter also 70mm? I don't want to remove the turbo side of the hose for an exact measurement as it looks pretty baked on and might be damaged beyond use during the removal. The current one is spiral wound cloth of some sort. It lasted for a few years but needs replacing.

Unable to find any so far, so any input would be appreciated.

I didn't think anyone would have on laying around for sale. I was hoping that someone else had purchased one and could recommend a source. If this hose is original AXT stuff, I'm not the only one who needs/has needed to replace it.

Anybody who is running an AXT should see if the hose from air cleaner to turbo is a spiral wound cloth/canvass type hose. Kinda like a heavy duty clothes dryer exhaust duct hose. If so, give it a thorough inspection.

Marine wet exhaust hose works well if you're not overly concerned about things being totally stock. Really tough stuff, can take lots of heat.

most boat repair shops have it.

cheers,

Try a place that deals in or repairs commercial pumps, suction hoses are non collapsable and they have quite a variety, depending on application, they may be able to suggest something.

The guy at the boat store didn't think the wet exhaust hose would handle the almost 90 degree bend so I found this website and ordered enough pieces to replace all the old couplings in addition to the turbo air inlet hose. A call to AXT confirmed that the o.d. of the turbo inlet is 2.75"
