Here is a 24V loom of a HJ60 ( 2H ) where the extra connector is used for the oil pressure switch to cut out the EDIC in case of low oil pressure.

And the answer is revealed! Nice job @sved.

Matt is building me that replacement harness for me as mine broke after 31 years.

So

first prototype I call a success that’s again and a huge shout out to @sved

you saved the day my friend and I mean that sincerity!

You will see a defent ball fearture on my soecial poitive grip OEM yazaki solid brass terminals I all used in all 3 locations

the button connector on the sender has a depression for this feature built in

Also : both the idiot light sender and the mechanical sender male tabs have a tiny hole the ball locks into

hence positive grip
Is a jis only feature

This is wjat to expect and nothing less then Toyota Genuine Yazaki JAPAN parts connectors housings and solid brass heavy duty spec. Terminals

I bump up wires guage to 16ga. From
Puny 20 toyota used or 22 even maybe it is

anyway too darn small for a long term service part needs

I over engineer and over build the TEcH , good fo me and good for Clients HJ and BJ and heck all FJ also

same skool if thought no matter the vintage toyota electrical application

ALL parts Chemical and UV rated Resistent ,

assembled the TOYOTA traditional way , by hand and with pride .. :)
