Hi all,

This is a big jump from my FZJ80.

I'm looking to upgrade to the 200. Found an 09 LC in very good shape with 60K. The other is 08 LX570 with normal wear at 72K. Both are local owner. They are around mid 40K. I'm having a hard time deciding. I already tested both. The LX seemed to have a tad pickup speed and less noise. Not going to do moderate off roading anytime soon.

I would like some feedback to see which would be a better option. Thanks.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other! really comes down to looks, ease of mods etc... Ease of mods is goes to the 200. Looks is in the eye of the beholder(I prefer the 200) The 570 is going to be a bit nicer inside and has a better stereo. Same house just different curtains!

Simple - I'd go with the newer one with the lower mileage: 09 LC with 60K

Bottom line...personal preference

If you're going for the luxury route, go Lexus. If you intend to do modifications to suspension, the Land Cruiser will be tons easier.

Remember, you're looking at one of the BEST 4wd's on the whole earth in the dead middle of winter. Pricing on most 4wd's is seasonal like a boat.
I gave under forty for my 08 in 2011-12 (cant remember) and it had under 55,000 miles on it. Gas was higher then too if you want to figure that in...... Its the law of scarcity.

I was going to add something benefical to this thread, but after reading the above posts, there is nothing I can add. Again, both are great. If you aren't planning on modding, get the 570, it will be a quieter and more comfortable ride. As to looks well...

I hate the rear end of the 570, but I think the front end is slightly better looking than the LC.
I will also add that I prefer the tail lights and the absence on the door chrome on the 1st gen 200s, but I also prefer the electronic additions, including the headlights on the 2nd gen 200s. I wish I could have the best of both worlds!!!

I bought my 2011 LX570 with little less then 30k miles a few months ago for around $52k. It was 33 months old perfect Lexus maintance record and Carfax it's also a Texas car bottom looks as good as top. I say I paid $56k because I traded a 1 year old ES350 with 6k miles and which I paid $36k for new and they gave me $32k tradein. So I add that $4k loss to my $52k LX570 cost and come up with $56k, which is still a great deal. Bottom line you just have to look. The reason I did that addition was so my wife was not pissed at me trading a new car and losing $4k. Which is not bad around $330 a month to drive a new ES350

Price feels high to me. My 08 two years ago with 60k was 38k... But a lot has changed since then, season and gas prices to mention a few.

I agree with personal preference. The LC is a much more undercover high end vehicle and that suits me much better. Resale one day may be better on the Lexus because most everybody around here buys them for the symbol on the grill even though they are excellent vehicles. Those types don't want to drive a Toyota, they want a status symbol and judging by sales numbers of the two there are more of them out there.

Actually if you do a search you get a better deal on a used LX then a used LC.

I do agree with SWUtah that the LX around here is cheaper than the LC.

Any rate, I pulled the trigger on the 09 LC. They listed for 52K, but I was able to get it down to 47K out the door. With all the electronic tech in this vehicle, I hope I don't have to do much for a long while.

This is the super white, at least that's what the dealer said. The color code is 040.
