Just a little FYI if you do run a 15/40 designed for Diesel engines they do have more of a detergent in them. Not a bad thing but I'd suggest swapping the new oil within a couple thousand miles as it will clean some junk in the engine.

I cannot remember how many times I have posted up the correct way how to calibrate the sender AND The gauge.

Putting thicker oil in is not the answer unless your engine is already knackered.

Check out the link in my Sig, you will find in there the correct method but, before you do anything get a master gauge on it and check the actual pressure.
