She sang like helen keller. as quiet as could be. very happy.
one more thing to add, the dampener bracket plate is only welded on the bottom end. when i first started up and reved it up in the driveway, there was a terrible buzz/rattle. its that plate. should have been welded top and bottom. to fix just bend the whole thing down away from the muffler body. problem solved.

I just put the bosal on my 99 this last weekend too. Cat back. I typically buy stainless bolts/nuts to make future work easier. No issues with install besides having to drop the spare, which hadn't been done in a while and was rusty. Along with the timing belt and new pulleys I just installed, I can barely hear the car running. Exactly what I was looking for.

I'm new to the cruiser, but have lots of experience with my 4.7 tundra. Do the cruisers have the issues with the cracked exhaust manifolds, which cause an annoying 'tick'? I replaced my Tundra with JBA headers, which have been great. Mine don't sound bad, but it's a know issue with the tundras.

I put mine on in 2015.
Walker 55329 Quiet Flow Stainless Steel. Muffler was not damaged in any way. Just did not fit worth crap.
Maybe (hopefully) they fixed the fitment issue since then. When did you purchase yours?
Installed the muffler and resonator maybe a year ago?

Ah, there is the difference. I replaced the muffler only. The output tube location is an inch or more off location from stock which made fit-up to the rear oem pipe the problem. Also, I had to cut off the outlet tube from the stock muffler and weld it to the walker muffler to allow it to mate with the flare connection on the rear pipe.
I guess the walker is ok if you plan on replacing the rear pipe and resonator at the same time. At the time I only needed a muffler.

The Bosal exhaust went in today’s. It’s amazing how quiet my LC sounds. I tried installing yesterday but the bolts were so old and rusty, they started to fall apart. I took it to a friends shop and two hours later, done.

i tried to tell ya!! :) grinder and sawzall were the only tools i used to get all of the old muffler out. but same as you, so glad it is near silent. quieter than when i bought it.

I discovered I have a quarter size hole in my muffler so I’m looking to replace it in the next week or two. Any recommendations on what to go with that would be close to OEM? Price is not really an issue but I’d like the most out of my dollar. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I just had them weld a straight pipe on my lx470 for 50 bucks and run resonator only 😉. Kinda fun and The shop was surprised it wasn’t louder. Just sounds like a aftermarket

Are you guys still buying the Bosal 279-773 ? I'm about to order since there's hole in my muffler and the droning is driving me crazy now on long uphills. Are the bosal gaskets no good? Is there a clamp I need as well?

I didn't hear about anyone else have to cut that notch in the pipe or is that just a given?
