The bolt in the right side rear shock tube snapped off at 35lb-ft when I was trying to install the shocks

I made the brilliant decision to try and use a right angle drill to drill out the bolt center instead of dropping out the fuel tank And using drill guides.

Because of this the drill drifted away from it's pilot hole into the threads of the actual pin

I now need to figure out how to get this pin replaced, either with a part number for the pin itself or a fancy trick someone knows.

I reckon that shock support pin is no longer usable. Bummer But don't fret, they're prone to breaking off anyway.

Here's how I fixed mine (a guy who knew how to weld fixed it for me 20 years ago).
After the pin was sawed off and drilled out to accept a 5/8"-3/4" grade 8 bolt (can't remember bolt size) brackets were welded on the tube to support the bolt.
This setup lasted for 20 years and thousands of miles of rough dirt roads in baja MX so it's plenty strong. Much stronger than the original dinky pin.

I would just slice that mount off and weld on a new one.
PM me and I can machine you new one.
