Need help picking a transmission (1 Viewer)

Tr-4050 would be a good option if it weren't for the high cost. I've been doing a lot of reading on the AX. My biggest concern is it's length at 16.7" and the shifter being placed way at the rear. Trying to find a build thread where someone used one so I can see how the total length worked out

I havent seen any on Mud yet, someone is doing one on facebook. I dont think it would work with an F or 2F. The advantage of the V8 is the motor is shifted forward (many people who use the FJ40 Toyota 4 speed end up with their shifter up under their heater).

About 3:05 in this video ICON has an AX15 with a V8
