Engine spins, getting gas, will not fire. No fire to plugs. Distributor and rotor due for replacement but do not believe that is the problem. Thinking coil / ignitor but since electrical is typically not returnable HELP.

We checked fuses inside and out.

If it's a V6 pull the dist cap and see if the rotor turns when you try to start it. Disable the coil first.

It was a bad coil. Thanks to son Jacob. Replaced it and now have a running 4Runner. Tuneup and emissions and on the road... Thanks Pappy and 505 for your responses.
