So I pulled my front and rear driveshafts in order to replace u-joints. I’m restoring ancillary driveline parts while I’ve got the 40 in the air. I noticed one of my yoke’s is an 8mm flange pattern while all others are the post ‘74 10mm.

My question is, is there any reason I can’t drill out the oddball flange to 10mm? Both diffs are 10mm flanges along with Trans and Drum E-Brake posts?

Looks like the ears will accommodate the width but the footprint of the flange is slightly smaller than the other three.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I've seen flanges come with a duel patterns many times. I wouldn't even hesitate drilling it out to 10mm.
