Been doing a partial tub restoration on my '77. Here's the thread. All the fresh sheet metal is from CCOT. Having a problem getting the lower rear of the quarter panel to meet up with the fresh rear sill, to spot weld it on. There's about a 1/4" gap between the rear quarter and the sill. Should the edge of the rear quarter overlap the sill cover plate, or butt up against it? In other words, should the quarter be flush with the sill cover? That would narrow the gap. Here's what I have so far: Other side is similar if not a bit worse.

The quarter panel needs to line up with the sill. Consider what ever type rear doors u have need to seal around the opening.

Thanks. If anyone has pictures they can post for reference, I'd appreciate it.

*edit* I can see tons of pics on Bring A Trailer. But if you have restoration process pics, I'd like to see those, too.
