What suspension do you recommend?

Honestly, to get closest to the pin on a custom tuned suspension, give filthy motorsports a call. I ran stock, then BP51s and had Icons on my tundra and just ordered their King suspension kit for the cruiser. It takes some time for it to come in but in all the years I've been building toyotas, I've never had such good customer service. They'll talk through all your mods, weights, intended uses, lift amounts, etc.... then they have the suspension custom built and valved through King. They take a long time to deliver (it'll be about 7 weeks for me) but I am beyond excited for it. I went with the 2.5 coilovers with remote resins. 3.0s were an overkill for my application.

Can anyone recommend a good suspension shop in Phoenix? My struts need to be replaced and thinking about a small lift and new suspension and bigger tires. Much appreciated.

Looks like I missed this.

Bilstein's new kit would be very high on my list. I haven't tried it on the 200-series but have had their systems on 2 other vehicles. They are also an OEM supplier with a long history of delivering quality suspension systems. Much of the architecture applied in their 200-series kit, is similar to what a factory performance system like a TRD setup would be. Street sensible configurations like inverted shocks keeping the hardened shaft up high and protected, protective boots, long lasting bushings instead of race spherical type mounts, etc.

I personally wouldn't do race parts or custom setups unless there is a real need. There are compromises as they are purpose built for a different use case. May require shorter rebuild intervals and such.
