Need advice in Sherwood OR on FJ40 (1 Viewer)

I just bought a 74 LC fj40. I am going to pick it up tonight!!! It is not running and I am looking for someone to give me some advise as to maybe what is wrong with it. The guy I am buying it said that he thinks it is the timing gear. He said that he was driving it and it quit and was back firing up through the carb. Any help would be great. I have just moved to Sherwood Or and need some advise on it.

Goto overthehill4x4.com, call them and ask for "W, " if anyone knows, he will. Sounds to me that the distibutor is 180 out.
