My 1975 FJ40, V8, 4sp is missing a skid plate. Does anyone have one locally that they'd like to unload? I'm fine with running spacers to get it to work with the V8.

That is great news. Thank you guys.

What Carat gold are they made from for $315?
HA! I thought the same thing when I bought mine. But..go ahead and build and market an equal for less if you like. There are a good many variances in necessary clearances between a stock engine and a V8 that can be located many inches forward or back, and IPOR made sure their skid accommodates the majority, if not all. Plus, for those who think it's just a flat metal plate...it's not.

Yep, that is worth the price to me. I'm gonna get one for sure. I'll probably drive down from NOVA to get it so I can save on shipping.

I get it but I paid $500 for the entire truck.

You were cheated!

The IPOR skid plate is a well made product.

Price vs. cost...
I bought mine for $1500... My rear axle build alone cost about the same.
He'll my tires cost more than that, the there's the Orion, oh and the lockers. All more than $1500
