I'm in need of a good LC mechanic in the houston area. I have a 1997 LC and want to service the drive shafts and add a lift. I want to take it to someone who knows Land Cruisers. Can any of you recommend a few shops??

Javier is a member and a big supporter of our club, The Texas Land Cruiser Club-Houston. He is the only guy that works on my truck outside of me, and many in the local four wheeling community would say the same. With that being said, I am having an 80 tech session at my house on April 28th. One of my projects will be dropping and regreasing the drive shafts. You are more than welcome to come out and we can do the same to your truck. We are also doing phh hoses on 3 rigs, front axle rebuild on one or two, brakes lotsa brakes.

Sorry for the hijack...but anybody know a TLC specialist / mechanic in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area? I'm tempted to let someone else do a few repairs to mine if I knew they were familiar with & into LC's...
Do your driveshafts need to be rebuilt ?
I am wondering why they can't be greased normally - I.E. thru the zerks.

Lots of info to find in the faq and through searching. Short of it is, old grease in there hardens over time decreasing drive shaft travel. Also, too much grease through the zirk will hydrolock the d shaft which acts like a battering ram against your transfer case.
