Need a hint or a tip on removing old valve cover gasket... (1 Viewer)

Changing out my valve cover gasket and a few other things, but my old gasket is hard as a rock. Any tips on how to get the old one out?

When I did mine the gasket itself was easy to remove the spark plug ones where hard as a rock took a flat head screw driver and chiseled them out careful not to hammer straight up and down due it at a slight angle they came out in pieces maybe you could due the same.....

I got the spark plug gaskets without too much trouble. I had to break them up, but they came out. The valve cover gasket is kicking my arse.

Can you wedge something in there and chilsel it out? Also do you have any PB Blaster that stuff will break up carbon good....
