When I first purchased my compressor, I mounted it on the wheel well behind the windshield washer fluid reservoir. I now want to relocate the windshield washer fluid reservoir and the compressor in order to install a second battery. I can get everything I need to install the second battery and relocate the windshield washer fluid reservoir from Christo Slee but they don't have a mounting bracket in production for the ARB CKMA12 Compressor into an 80 series Landcruiser. Does anyone know where I can get a bracket that will support re-mounting the compressor high up on the driver's side of the engine bay?

Any photos you can post up of how you installed yours will be helpful!

Wait, Slee stopped making them? They used to make the one that goes in the corner next to the booster. Heck I still have mine mounted that I never used. :hmm:

I know you your interest is in a drivers side mount but I thought I would show how I mounted mine on the firewall of the passenger side. It hangs on existing fasteners.

is your bracket custom made? if so, who makes it? I am also curious who makes a current bracket for the ARB compressor also.
I made the bracket. It’s a simple piece of 3/16 thick plate steel.

Do you have a photo of your bracket and approximate measurements?

Or do you want to make and sell them since Slee no longer does. Seems apparent to me that many people need this particular bracket. It shouldn't be that difficult or expensive if you have the cutting / welding equipment.

That would only happen if Slee gave the ok. No way I would copy their hard work without permission.

I assumed that you would. If they file patents, you could wind up owing them money. Might be worth asking them. If they didn't find it to be a rewarding product to produce, you can find out why before you make the effort to create a new one. Plus, they might be willing to OK (in writing) your use of their design. You might make money on it where it simply may not have fit their business model! You already produce many niche products and you seem to be doing pretty well at it. I have several of them in my vehicle.

Good news everyone! For what it is worth I contacted Slee on Monday and they said that they will be selling the mount for the single chamber ARB air compressor for the 80 series. They said that they have no plans to ever dive into making any kind of engine mount for the CKMTA12. So call slee and ask about ordering the mount and update this post with your results!

Damn. I still need a good solution for the larger one. Thinking QPM but I can't give joey alllll my money after the turbo.
I am in the process of working out the same issue for the CKMTA12 and I have someone working on a plan to build an engine mount to go in the upper corner on the passanger side. I also ordered Slee's bottle relocation kit, so the idea is that the new mount will go straight ontop of the bottle and we will tap a hose and reroute it so that we can fill the bottle without having to move the compressor. This is all an idea right now because the scheduling with the auto shop is still out until the end of september.

The guys at slee warned me not to mount mine in the rear QPM if it is going to be under continuous use due to known defects, something to do with oil leaking and lack of airflow in that area. I can't mount it under the vehicle either because the MOAB mud would just kill it with the moisture! If you get something worked out and mounted please post!

Inside rear quarter.; Diff lock solenoids vented to outside. 10 years plus going strong. Simple 90deg folded 3mm steel plate shelf.
Never know it was there...... Yellow line goes to an outlet under the rear bumper
