I've decided to sell my 1985 project. My wife wants her garage spot back and I have too many projects on my plate right now.
1985 Toyota Pickup XtraCab SR5 4x4
Work I've done:
Bad:
Some of the attached photos are from a few months ago. The taillights have since been fixed/reinstalled and I gave it a good bath.
$10,000 OBO
I'm honestly not sure what it's worth but I know what I have in it so I just threw out $10,000 OBO or I'm open to trades/partial-trades for a 200 series (toyota or lexus)

1985 Toyota Pickup XtraCab SR5 4x4
- 117,XXX original miles
- 2nd owner - I purchased from the original owner the last December
- 100% Rust Free bed
- 95% Rust free cab (see rocker picture below)
- The original owner parked the truck in his friends driveway and moved out of state in 2005. The truck sat unmoved and unstarted for 15-years until I bought it and towed it to my house.
- I soaked the cylinders in Marvel Mystery Oil and ZDDP for 2-weeks before even attempting to crank it over.
- Cleaned the fuel tank, added fresh gas and detergents, replaced fuel pump and fuel filter and it started up like new.
- Runs and drives like you would expect a 117k 22RE would haha
Work I've done:
- new battery
- new fuel pump
- new fuel filter
- new shocks on all four corners
- complete engine de-sludge service
- new Denso spark plugs
- full synthetic Rotella T6 oil change and filter last month.
- coolant/radiator flush
- new clutch master cylinder
- new clutch slave cylinder
- complete brake and clutch fluid flushes
- new cold-start injector sensor
- new coolant temp sensor
- new hard brake lines on front brakes
- New soft brake line on rear
- new engine coolant thermostat
- new headlight
- new headlight bezels
- new front bumper
- new front lower valance
- fixed taillights (not pictured)
- Have a bunch of extra parts to go with sale
- I always keep every single old part I replaced on my Toyota's so you can see what I've done
- A matching truck topper can be included in the sale for $400.
Bad:
- Paint is terribly faded. Like a blue chalkboard but could potentially be buffed out.
- Body blemishes and dents
- Tailgate dented and latch doesn't work great due to dent
- Could probably use new leaf springs
- Glass weather stripping could use some love
- Driver window cranks poorly but still works
- Wheels and tires aren't awesome.
- Most of the glass weather seals are in rough shape
- Front bumper could use paint and bumper endcaps.
- Front valance needs paint
- Needs front bumper endcaps
- The Interior isn't terrible but far from amazing
