NE Jersey Specialist for FJ80? (1 Viewer)

Hi there -- I'm looking to see if anyone has recommendations for an independent shop who knows FJ80s in NE Jersey. Googled and looked on the forum first but no luck. I'm looking at a 94 FJ80 for sale in Bergen Co. outside NYC (I'm in Brooklyn) from a private seller and would like to have someone inspect beforehand that's close by. Would like to avoid the local dealerships if possible (Toyota of Hackensack and Glen Toyota are the closest to the seller). Of course, if I purchase, would be great to have a somewhat local mechanic. Thanks for any and all feedback.

Did you end up getting the 80?
The best Toyota mechanic in the area is Kenny Deans in Waretown NJ, by the shore. It’s not NE or near NYC but it’s worth the extra drive.
Prices are usually higher only Toyota OEM, experienced master mechanic.

Know if anyone closer to middle western NJ? I’m west of Trenton in Doylestown PA.

That I don’t know. Last time I went down there he was still wrenching with his son, that was a little over a year ago.
