Nankang mudstars reviews anyone? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys! I just bought a set of these Nankang Mudstar mud tires in 285/75/16 size. I'm just wondering if anyone has actual reviews of these Taiwan made tires. So far all I've been hearing are good things and these are supposed to last upwards of 70,000 KMs. So far my review on road is that it's a quiet humming that's very tolerable and at the minimum for a mud tire noise. Haven't tried it yet in wet roads or on the trails yet though. They're a buckshot mudder copy I believe Here is my old bridgestone dueler AT beside the new Mudstar MTs. Seems very undersized for a 285/75/16. Actual measurement of mine out it at around 32" only more or less. Would u say this is undersized or normal?

I was very happy with the revo 694's. These lasted me around 8 years with mosty highway and some trails. They performed well enough for an all terrain. No complaints. Still has really good grip even at this stage of the tread wear.

The Nankang's got good reviews from users down in New Zealand I remember reading. I was thinking about getting some to try out as well... the price is right...about $150 a piece for 315's here in Japan.

Yeah they're also 285's. That's why I was a bit disappointed with the size of these mudstars.

They claim 32.8" for the 285's.

34.5" for the 315's.

If you get a chance measure the tread width, curious to compare them with my 285 Duratracs.

edit: Measured my Duratracs mounted of 16x8 oem wheels, the tread width is exactly 9".

These mudstars measure at the 8.5" mark. Mounted on the OEM rims.
