So, here is the conclusion....now we have all the suggestions, so now we must decide.

Again, we picked a female that is the lightest in the litter, and she was the most laid back. Hopefully that trait will carry through to adulthood.

SAM. I like one syllable names. It's easier to scream, "SAM!!!" across the neighborhood. Besides, who wants to yell, "Yooo, Hooo, Soooophiiiieeee!"
Elsie is interesting, but back to the single syllable approach.
Reba is a redneck singer's name that your dog will forever be associated with.

I still say Reba. It's an ingenious story and something to to tell:

"Reba sink a boulder in the water
Reba tie a cable to a tree
Reba stuck in a game of lipstick perfume flypaper
Reba press a razor to a slide cross a needle with a prune...
Bag it
Tag it
Sell it to the butcher in the store...
coconuts and chloroform
some wicker and some cork
Toxic waste, some purple paste
she hoped was not explosive
Reba dip a ladle for a taste of her creation
and she knew that what she made
would be the finest in the nation
Bag it..."

Just a couple short snippets, but you get the idea.
Elsie is a close second though. :)

My name is Sam and one of good friends is named Rebecca (we call her Reba) so I gonna have to vote against those.

I have always been partial to Abigail or "Abby" for female labs and goldens.

I had a dog named Sam once. Too common. Besides, it violates the rule of never name your dog something your boss's kid might be named.

Embarassing at dinner parties. :)
