I wanted to post up to help out my present employer finding someone to fill the vacancy I'm creating by moving on. See, I have accepted a position with a City municipality and I do not want to leave them high and dry. The company is wonderful, the I.T. department is out of this world - completely hands off, no micro managing and one of the best Directors I have had the pleasure to work for! There wasn't anything that happened here to cause me to accept another position, simply it was the best choice for my family! The company is the second largest Debt Collections Law Firm in Ohio with over 400 users and is growing as they are in four cities in Ohio, and one office in Indiana, WV and Texas. Background checks and the normal new job routine is expected.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

I.T. Project & Data Center Specialist

Must have experience/knowledge/administrative aptitude of most or all of the following:
Windows Server OS (2003, 2008 R2)
Microsoft Exchange (2003/2010)
Windows XP, 7 (x32 & x64)
Networking (TCP/IP, CAT5/6, Fibre & Fiber, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPN's)
SAN Technology (EMC, Dell Equilogic)
VMware, Xen Server & Term Services
ISO Compliance (27000)
RAID Technology
VoIP technology
Active Directory
Symantec Enterprise Vault
Tech Support/Help Desk & troubleshooting
Project Management experience
Ability to research, recommend and implement the proper long term solution
Documentation capabilities

One of the biggest factors is PERSONALITY, not certifications. You can be self taught, but this is Enterprise Level - not entry level. The department is not willing to hire just anyone or a body, they want someone who will fit into their niche and who would be willing to learn along the way. This is a very laid back department and often times you will get ambushed with rubber bands from the director. It's a flexible schedule and is a M-F position.

If this sounds like something you or someone you would recommend to apply, please let me know! Compensation is decent, parking garage is covered by the company and the health insurance begins the following month after you start.

Please PM me with any questions or post up here. I will be going on to the City position on July 5th.

Thanks!

John
