Mystery Transmission Wire? (2 Viewers)

Nothing was plugged into it, anyone know what it does? I know it's not the reverse light switch.

I've looked through my manual and it doesn't say anything about it.

I don't think so my 78 for the fj55 has the same stuff.

Yeah I've got that wire too and mine has always been in the states.

The wires on my BJ42 transfer case were for the 4WD light on the dash.

There's supposed to be something called a "shift point switch" that's part of the spark control system. One of the things that affects advance when the transmission's in high gear. ??

Its for emissions control on late 70's FJ's, maybe into very early 80's
