Well this past weekend got some maintenance done on the 60. Replaced the rear pinion seal...with much greatful knowledge from the Master Alan. Couldn't of done it without him. Haven't driven it enough to see if the seal will take care of the flange groove or not. To fill the rest of ya in...my rear flange has a groove in it, so if the seal doen't fix it, I'll have to replace the flange. I was a 1-1/2 nanner job. And then I yanked out my Radiator and had it boiled and welded. Thought it would solve my overheating problem but it didn't. So my next move is to test the fan....Does any one have a regular metal fan I could borrow. I wanna take my fan off with the clutch and put a straight fan on there and see if that solves it. If not then it's off to change the water pump. Tryin to eliminate one possibility at a time.
This weekend I plan on gettin a plate for the 40 and JP and I are gonna go on a trip up to into the MT's to test her before the trip to tellico. Only a few minor things to repair on the 40...Reweld the muffler so I don't get stuck in 1st gear again. Test the Vaccum. Modification of a carb mount. And replace the Valve cover gasket on the f engine....Anyone got an extra one of these they are willin to sell, other wise I'll just order one?
