There is company that was featured in toytoa owners mag this month that made sliders out of 2 in swuare stock...
they looked nice, simple and sturdy! I might look into something like that!
SIMPLE is right up my alley!

I installed a set of Metal Tech sliders on an 80 last weekend and just INSTALLING them was a chore, so I can only imagine the effort that went in to BUILDING your own sliders. Mini trucks and 4Runners are definitely easy in comparison.

I made my set using George's design. He includes the DXF files on his site so that one can use AutoCAD or any CAD software to print out the templates on a 1:1 scale on paper. If you can do this, cut the templates out of paper, then transfer them to cardboard, life is much much simpler. Then, rent a plasma cutter and cut all metals in one day and the rest is a piece of cake :flipoff2: Calculating angles using rulers and protractors is a royal PITA!
