Thought I’d share a simple solution on how to “adjust” the headlamp sensor. It’s a little bit of trial and error but simple enough if you have the patience.

I taped off the area around the sensor. I pulled the truck outside around the time I wanted the lights to come on based on the light level. I took a black Sharpie marker and drew a line across the sensor. I stepped out, closed the door and waited a second to see if it came on. I repeated this process a few more times adjusting the amount of light that came into the sensor by ever so slightly adding more marker on the sensor.

The end result is that there is a little bit of the sensor lens still exposed toward the front of the sensor with about a third of the top covered with marker.

If you accidentally put too much on it’s not a big deal, as a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel will remove it.

Hope this helps!

That's one way to do it.
You can also have the sensitivity adjusted by a shop with the proper computer.
I had thought about doing it your way.
