On my last truck, I did this mod:

Make Your Power Outlets ALWAYS On

But apparently it is too hard to do on a LC/LX that is 2006 or newer?...mine is a 2006.

Has anybody with an 06 and newer tried this mod? Is there any "easy" way to make all the 12 volt receptacles always on?

It would be immensely easier to run a wire from the battery on it's own fuse than it would be to extract the lower footwell fuse panel. If you haven't dug in there before I don't recommend it.
Personally I'd pick the amp hot wire under the pass seat, the antenna relay behind the glove box or a hot wire behind the dash from the stereo, all of which I'm not using. If I didn't have that, I would run a wire.

Is the one in the rear driver's side hot all the time?

I've got Wires run for a rear fuse block. Waiting for receptacles to put the plastic back on.
