I think it was 79' when my Dad bought me this scout (had to pay him back) from Woodland Ca.
It only had 54K on it...It was a doctor who owned it for going up to his cabin up in the Sierras
It had the 266V8 IH motor with 4 speed granny first and dana 20 T-case...dana 44 in rear with power lock limited-slip with dana 30 for the front axle with 3:73's for gears
I put on a 2" rancho lift with 10-15 winston tires then up graded to the 11-15 Armstrong tru-tracks not long after.
That scout wheeled really well and could seem to climb anything I pointed it at....it was a fun first vehicle and taught me how to wrench like no other, yep, its a IH fo sho.. ...wish I still had it though
