I've seen a guy open his hood like a sardine can with a pick axe, the sawzall is a much more precise tool... Or even better, a RotoZip...do they still make those?

Yes, they still make the roto zip. That's not a bad idea actually. However, you can actually buy the fender pre-cut from Toyota. I'm sure it's crazy expensive to do that though.
