I've been slowly accumulating parts for various upgrades and mods and I just never seem to get the time to actually start, let alone finish them. I figured if I put them down on paper I could start to manage them a little better. Maybe this will help others as well to get their projects started.

Here goes...
Rebuild knuckles on new front disc front axle
Paint front axle
Install front disc brake axle
Install rear disc brakes
Install power steering upgrade (move alt, install double grove pulley)
Install 2.5" Hell Creek suspension
Install 4plus winch bumper
Install Metaltech cage
Figure out what to do for a seat cradle
Install new Procomp seats
Install shoulder belts (need to buy)
Paint Soft top bows.
Finish half doors (need to sand and paint, so close!)

Feel free to post up your list as well.

1. Finish the rebuild of my 1962 fj40. Going to pickup some 1977 axles tomorrow, so that should kick start it.

2. Start to rebuild by 1980 fj40.

3. Sell all these extra land cruiser parts I have, and will no longer need since my two project will be done.

4. Buy another fj40 or 45.

5. Start buying back all those extra parts I sold off in step 3 and will now need.

That is my list, but I am excited I actually found some disc axles less then 3 hours from the house.

My list is circular. There is no beginning and certainly no end! :D

Seriously though...phase 1 is all Ive thought through:

Headliner
Stereo
Center Arm Rebuild
Secure battery tray
Replace all 4 wheel bearings
Continue to evaluate

Phase 2 will involve a frame off, PS and disc conversion, and probably SOA. Who knows what else....

Oh man- I can;t even complete my list. But it starts with getting seat belts in the rear seats for the kids....

And it goes on....

Soft top on,
PTO winch rebuilt and hooked up
get the bj43 that I just bought in running condition (exhaust fab) so I can tackle the floors in my current daily.
it goes on- a long way on- like 3 years if I'm lucky kinda long way on....

Lets not forget- make a new rain gutter with my paki-gutter parts..... That should be a fun one! Re-glassing the roof- not looking forward to that so much.

I guess basically I haven't started any projects yet so I'm at the beginning.

Pete

Wow can a list truly be complete?

1) Rebuild 3 spd T Case
2) New U Joints
3) Rebuild Front Knuckles
4) Replace Rear brake cylinders
5) Replace Top Gutter and seals
6) Replace the headliner
7) And anything else I come up with

Isn't a list like totaling up how much you've spent on the rig and showing it to you wife?

No Danno, this list is just for parts that I've bought but haven't put to use yet. If I posted the list of stuff that I've already done I'd have to keep it locked in a safe so she didn't see it.

Thank goodness, I thoughtI was only Mud member with ADD, Starting several projects without completing any of them
Here it goes!
1. Started with front knuckle seals
2. Install OME 2.5 inch lift ( correct shackles/pins arrived today from Kurt)
3. Have newer stock wheels painted appropriate color
4. Repaint bezel and canopy appropriate color.
5. Install new rotors, bearings and new calipers with toyota pads.
6. Sell 4 wagon wheels that I just incorrectly had powdercoated the wrong color!
7. Install new tie rod ends.
8. find all my tools that are scattered around cruiser
9. Oh yeah pay for and install new 33/10.5/15 tires on the stock wheels.

I'm sure there is more but will finish the above before embarking on that challenge!
