My latest fridge find (1 Viewer)

As I prepare to build out my 80 series interior Im on the hunt for the best products to work for my needs. I have found I like the drawer fridges but most are a little smaller than I want. Along comes this Kenworth TDR-49, 49 lit drawer fridge with a freezer.

Thoughts?

I have thought about what style of fridge/freeze I'd want in a build...and I keep coming back to lid style. Either style has its implementation & use plusses/minuses. I'm sure this is just the input you were looking for

Have you lived out of drawer fridge? I like the ability to be able to reach inside the cabin easily with fridge access without entering and being wife approved.

This was a nice set up but too tall to fit my needs/space

I agree 100% but I just cant work it into my design too tall and to long

I just bought an Indel B fridge from Truckfridge.com this summer and I love it. It is the traditional arb style so no help on the drawer style, just that the build is solid and very reasonably priced.

I break it down this way. If you have interior cabinets and inside seating the drawer style fits best. If you stay outside the vehicle when accessing the lid style fits if your tall enough.

The final point is a taller truck with a shorter wife leans back toward the drawer. (this assumes she will still go traveling with you)

I have been lucky to have been able to experience several cabin truck over the last several month with Ms LCP. They all look very cool and usable but you find out its not always perfect for your individual needs. Ms LCP and I have spent 100's travel days together and have a good idea what works for us. The biggest take away is no one design is for everyone.

Pictured below is a nice interior with a drawer fridge by the door (not visible) and a countertop well fridge next to the sink waiting for a lid to match the counter top, pretty slick.

I come from a sailing background so I get the slick looking well organized storage.

This is what Im currently in and everything is fast and convenient. I set my limit at 3 mins if a task takes longer I reevaluate. Im getting ready to go to convert to barn doors on this truck and build out the inside cabin style.

Looks cool! I’m reworking my interior setup based on, don’t move stuff to get to stuff. I don’t have a 3 minute rule or I’d probably have to cash out.

Yes, sailing helps as does winter backpacking. Throw in a extra family few members and it all goes south. However the time spent with them is mostly the the point.

Thanks Looks like there are several rebranded 59 & 65 with all the same specs. Once I get closer the best deal & warranty on a 59 or 65 will win out in the end as Im good with either size.

What a weird idea. But I guess it works. It stores the spare in unused space.
