Hi Guys, have finished my turbo install and though I would shoot a video under the hood - it's a different angle but interesting to hear.

I am putting turbo kits together for the 1HZ now and have been taking orders, if interested please let me know.

Hey thats cool. I like your other vids on the dyno too.

Thanks!

My Merkur turbo on my Bj60 sounds like that too, I was pulling 7 psi in my garage with no load, just rev'ing.

3500 or so. Maybe up to 4000. No load. waste gate blocked closed with a brass valve and spring. So it would be closed.

Hi Louis,

What's included in a kit?

I'm thinking turbo, lines and fittings for oil and water, manifold, inlet pipe from air filter, feed pipe to throttle body. Do you change the hat on the aircleaner or adapt air feed with an elbow of some sort.

Whats the turbo type and what results did you get from the dyno.

Looks and sounds damn hot!

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Those are pretty much all the parts. I have ordered a bunch of new air cleaner hats but they are only making them for toyota now - should be done production in a month or so - until then I supply an adapter that fits. I also supply a support bracket. The turbo is oil cooled only and doesn't need water cooling - or water liness. Basically everything is there to get the turbo installed - i can get guages and timers etc but at extra cost.

Dyno's can be seen here as well as some videos. https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=165863

The turbo is a Garret and with moderate fueling I got 33.4 percent increase in hp and 37.8 increase in torque. My engine is also tired with 4500 hours on it. I'll be installnig a new injection pump next week and an intercooler as well - then will tweak the fuel/air mixture.
