For some reason when i go to shut down my computer, 90% of the time the end task option for firefox appears as the box tries to shut down. So apparently my firefox seems to not want to quit. Anyone heard of or had this problem? My firefox browser isn't showing any updates.

can't you get out of FF before you shut down?
I usually do that with all my programs (except on my laptop when I want it to hibernate)

firefox does this to me also but only on the computer at work.
i do not know for sure but i think it's likely an extension hanging up. to t-shoot it, i would disable all extensions. if that works, start turning them back on one by one untill it has the same problem. i've had some extensions that lock it up/ blow it up right away!

I do. i usually close out of FF first, and then everything like email and such later, then go to shut down the box only to get a end task for FF. It's only been doing this for the past month or two, never before that.
