The clutch clutches, the brakes brake, next week we will be driving from Mesa, AZ to Sandy, UT.

For quality of life, the fj40 I have has lock barrels on driver and passenger door, gas tank, and rear lift-up window. I've seen a lock one can purchase for the gas cap door, I am curious though if the lock barrels are all the same for the four points, and if you can order four locks with one key, or how that would be best handled.

Several years ago, the top was off and a wind storm slammed it against a sharp corner, and ever since the rear corner doesn't lie flat. Can those hard tops be repaired?

What year vehicle are you working on? My '73 does not have a lock on the passenger door. There are different barrels depending on the lock position.
That sounds like something @ToyotaMatt might have...

Hi ,

your 1973 FJ40 should have a Steering Column mounted lock using a 2 sided key , this 2 sided key would have matched your 1973 FJ40 Flip Down Fuel Door lock as well ...

the typical 1973 FJ40 has a Single-Sided Saw Tooth Saber style Key that would have also matched your Real Lift hatch , that uses the same single Sided saw tooth saber Key

if your passenger side door has a lock also , and each door metal shell is a 1973 also ? Only a few production years FJ45 SWB and LWB pickups had his and hers locks like you describe from the factory

now ,..........

somebody like my self for example , who knew on the FJ45 Pickup lock on the pass door also , could of measured at least 11 times comparing the drivers door and simply made a mirror image Template or whatever , and since every single LHD 40 series 12/74 and Older has the same exact interior paddle arm lever as every single RHD 40 series globally , the USA Spec. LHD ones have the small Square female receiver all ready roughed in for this Super Super killer kool his & hers lock cylinder equipped front doors ....

i have personally done this on my 1972 FJ40 i owned when younger ,and i have helped several members here on MUD Map out there desired destiny .....

So ... when it comes tour Your Land Cruiser's Keys and Locks , sometimes you Have to Think Outside the Box
