Yea, as crazy as it sounds, I started my '89 FJ62 this morning, put the Ac on and got a very loud strange noise from the engine. Immediately shut it off. When I finally had some time to diagnose I noticed the AC compressor bolt is completely lose. There's no tension on it at all. I also found the pulley at the bottom of my driveway along with a nut. WTF?!? I had the belts changed about 3 or 4 months ago and about 3K miles. Perhaps the mechanics didn't do something right...regardless....I'm wondering what other parts might be missing. All I found was the pulley and a nut. Should there be a dust cover, washers??
