Still new to the fj80. When I start the 80 nothing. I have power in the battery but nothing happens the started doesn't even crank. Please help.
Thanks happy friday

Try the search, or Google, or if the fact that a charged battery giving no crank doesn't give you enough direction to begin diagnosing, you may be better suited to having a mechanic take over. Best of luck.

Right up date. Let the fj80 chilled for a bit (1 hour or so) turn the key and started just fine. Could it be the fusible link

Smack the end of the starter with a wrench or small hammer. If it starts, you know you need to replace your starter solenoid plunger and contacts, or just replace the whole starter with a rebuilt Denso. If it still doesn't start, there's more to diagnose, like corroded connections, or blown fusible links.

Same issue on my 91. Won't crank intermittently without any pattern. Then, it'll start right up. Now, it seems to have really died. Found this post to bypass the solenoid but it is a pretty old post, not sure if the solution is still viable. Might try it. Solenoid Bypass
