Long story short my girls brother in law had this Malibu , parked at her dads house , I offered to buy , after a year deal was done for $600, and one of our extra tv s .

'67 chevelle Malibu 4 door hard top... Mild 350 /350 trans , edlebrock air gap manifold ,edelbrock 600 carb and headman headers

The trailer ride home , and how it looked after washing off field dirt... Not too bad fairly straight... Now the work begins

First order of bussiness get it running good , did al the typical thing s, fluids changed new fuel lines, filter fuel pump... New chevy 1 wire alternator. An new rubber all the way around....

Sexy pair setting in the driveway ,2 classics look great!

Found some color codes, now try to decide....

Found some stock metal center caps... And started to sand and prime the body

Comming along ok... Building a driver not a show car put close to 4500 miles on it in the two years I've had it ... Apic of me and my son

And my alarm system ... They both seem to love the malibu

Cruised over to the Pismo ca car show on fathers day weekend, cruised ove to morrow bay where a friend has a nice little beach house, spent the night then cruised over to the car show ... Then of coarse took the kids to the beach

So after hitting a big dip in the road and breaking off two collector bolts an shreading the flange and lip on the header ... I'm re doing the exhaust got some stock manifolds going to tuck exhaust up nice and tight to the frame. Have some idea of inierior colors and my buddy does intiereior work so preatty soon he'll start on the seats and door panels
 
So got the stock manifolds on, came out clean...next to get some wire seperaters to try and clean up the mess of wires.... And had to get the help involved you know for those hard to reach spots...

Got exhaust rerouted , and wire seperaters on.... Not too bad... The before and after pics..

Got a little bit more done , sanding and primeing.... Still have windshield frame and top to do...

Soo found some flat black auto paint... After I'm done with the bodywork it'll get afresh coat or two from head to toe....finished up my wheels yesterday.... Crazy what a little bit of paint will do!

I think it changed the whole attitude of the car
 
The red rims are almost flamboyant. I think that with the chrome caps against the flat black, it creates a great contrast.
It's nice.
 
Flamboyant.... Lol

We like rat rods and well basically anything with a motor! It will have flat black paint once body works done, like the contrast too

Thanks just a driver , did a little more I did paint the front cowl and windshield frame , as per requests the top is still white
