Cruiser is looking sweet Ben.I will get the fenders to you soon but I'm not sure they are any better than the ones you have now.Nice work:)

Thx man. it's my drivers side that has a chunk missing out of it. It's hard to tell with the camo paint. It kinda blends in. Here's s better pic. As long as there's no missing chunks I can make it work.

I finished installing the lights today. I hooked them up to the stock wires (i just had to run a ground wire) and against everything I have read on the net, They worked!..... with the factory flasher! Everyone was saying I had to get a electronic flasher. I'm not sure exactly why it works, but it does. I'm thinking there must be enough resistance with the front turn signals still being a stock style bulb. To get the flasher to operate.

Here is a little video of them working.

The tires are not nearly as loud as I thought they would be.

I agree.

I have them on my 1965 45 pickup and have put at least 3K miles on them last year and was surprised at how quiet they ran.

'Course when you are used to 42" bias-ply Swampers, anything is quieter than those.

Truck looks good. I prefer the black sidewall but :meh:

I found these on a fj40 retail website. I liked the old school look of them. But the price seemed high. I spent some time on the Internet and finally found them on advanced auto parts web site. They where 10-11 bucks each. Got one more item And I got free shipping for over 25 bucks. That's a deal. And I really like a deal! :)

Started sanding tonight. Sanding off layers and layers of brushed on house paint sucks!!! I hate doing body work. But it needs to be done. I would much rather rebuild a engine , transmission or differential any day!

Making some progress. I have been planning on painting it a flat olive drab green.
But I'm starting to think about a gloss white. Thoughts?

It's been a long cold winter so far. Yesterday was the first warm day in months (49 deg) I could not resist driving the cruiser. Even with the body as it is. Yesterday I drove the most I ever have. All in all I put about 25 miles on her. I even took it on the freeway for the first time! The speedo said I was doing 70mph not sure what that really is with my 33's but that was about as fast as I wanted to take her. It did well tho. It really got me recharged and wanting to work on her again.

I like the idea of white. But right now I would paint it a cool sea foam or spring green. Not sure why but that is te color choice I would do this week. Last week would have been red. How are you going to paint it?
