The year end Muster Grounds run is fast approaching.
It's easy wheeling so even us old timers can go. ;)
Right now I'm thinking about Jan 2nd, which is a Sunday.
Breakfast at Aunt Sue's followed by a day run and lunch
in the woods.

Hey guys! Finally an event on a Sunday we can attend! :bounce: Thanks for the great idea David. Jan. 2nd. sounds great to us  We'll be there (assuming no major setbacks!

That's great Charlie! Since it's on a Sunday there will be no hunters
or ATVs allowed. Thank you SC wildlife guys. I always feel safer
when I'm not having to wear an orange vest.
Aunt Sue's will be closed for the season by then. No pancakes. :-(
We'll fix the time and place to meet after some club input.
I'm thinking Holly Springs would make it so we climb up there
in a convoy. It's a nice mountain drive to Bad Creek Project
from Holly Springs.
Pic is the trail from last year as recorded on my street pilot.

I will be there and hoping for snow and cold temps.......................though I question my sanity after that statement seeing how I only have a bikini top between me and mother nature;)

I might have to try to make the ride on the 2nd. The last ride in the 80 before I put the FOR SALE sign up.

I don't wanna know what you 2 look like in your bikini tops...lol.

Jan. 2nd sounds great to me.

Any more details?

Can someone post some more information on the trip this weekend. As a new Cruiser owner I'd be interested in going, but I need to know more about it.

Directions...Times

Is it okay to bring kids? (My two-year olds love bouncing around in the LandCruiser)

Grab those layers of clothes and that thermos
of hot beverage. Pack grub and meet us at
Holly Springs Store's parking lot. ( Highway
#11 and Highway #178 intersection)
Aunt Sue's is closed so breakfast is out.
Oh well, that just means we can meet later
at Holly Springs. I'm thinking about 10:00 A.M.
or so. Those coming from the north could just
head to the MG parking lot by say 11:00 A.M.
Turn in at Bad Creek Project on Highway #130.
Follow signs to MG.
Group will hit the dirt shortly after 11:00 A.M. from
the parking lot. We'll be back out before dark.
I hope. (crosses fingers) Gate locks at night.
The trail is just a gravel road for the most part and
should be easy and relaxing ride in the woods....
with some mud and hills.
I can't wait to get the truck on dirt.
It's a Sunday so no hunters or ATVs.
Just a pleasant trip with friends awaits participants.
See ya'll there.
David

The above is a cut and paste from the notice to the
Upstate Cruisers.
If you need any more info feel free to ask.
I hope you can join us! Children are welcomed.

I'm tossing around the idea of going. problem is, family in Atlanta and dogs in my apartment. I may have to make time for the family visit and I can't leave the dogs for too long in my apartment. I'll meet you at Hwy 11 and 178 if I'm going to make it. I have your phone number in my cell so if I'm going to be late I'll call you but if I don't call then just go on with out me. I just can't nail any definate plans down until I figure things out yet.

I probably won't be able to make it. Just found out my wife's family is having their yearly "reunion" of sorts this Sunday and I doubt I can wiggle out of it.

Sheena and I will make the ride. We hope to be at 11 & 178 around 10:00 or so. It's hard to say turning 37's with a worn-out F up hill is still a challenge, so if anyone gets behind a long line, chances are I'm in front. We've got a couple of friends who may tag along also. Hope to see everyone there!

Charlie

Happy New Year!

JP you workin or on here?

you heathens :^)

Sorry, I'm not going to make it. I did'nt realize y'all were making the time so early on Sunday. I don't get out of church until 11:30. I could'nt meet y'all in time. I still might come but I might come up and try and catch up. Take care, y'all give me a holler.

I won't be making it. the inlaws and my wife are driving up from atlanta tomorrow for lunch. haven't seen my wife in a while since we're in the middle of relocating and she's still in Houston til the house there sells so I gotta get to see her tomorrow.

It was a beautiful day...

in the neighborhood. Four fj40s, a fj60, a fzj80 and a Lexus 450
mustered in the woods today. Lunch was on the boiler bridge followed
by some good old mud rutting and hill climbing. Minimum carnage
inflicted. The trucks all got dirty. We met old friends and new friends too.
All in all a good day in the wilds.
Thank you.
