After thinking about the issues suffered by SC 80s and reviewing Tools suggestions on the fan spacer I was able to locate 3/32 spacers from NAPA. 4 with the center hole bored out enough to utilize the Toyota stock blue clutch allowed fitment of the original fan with clearance for the serpentine tensioner and clearance to the fan shroud. However idling in 100 degree temps at traffic lights still resulted in temp rises. Recently replaced fuel pump with the Supra Turbo fuel pump. Still saw temps around 200-202at 35 mph on Hwy 75 in Dallas in 104 degree ambients. Temps dropped promptly to 192 at 70-75 mph when traffic cleared.
Fan still not 1/2 in 1/2 out. Still a cork in the bottle?
Removed fan shroud and removed approx 1/4-3/8 of shroud edge all the way around. Fan is about 1/2 in 1/2 out. Drive to NM and in traffic in Santa Fe uneventful with temps in 180-low 190s and trails around Ouray.
Just a thought.

Those temps sounds completely reasonable to me.
