OK, got another one. Super clean 60 at Carilion Wellness this afternoon.
OK tire question for you other Roanoke guys. Anybody know someone who can hook me up getting a set of Yokohama Geolander or BFG KM3's? I've talked to four ture shops today and none of them can get them right now. Even tried ordering them from Tire Rack and they called me and told me they couldn't tell me when they would be re-stocked. I have tires that are about to fail (cracked treads) so I kinda need to get this done.
I am a hike away but what size are you looking for? A lot of tires are on back order and hard to get. I can check on them for you.
I appreciate that. I'm looking for a set in 315/75r16 flavor. I just found some (Yokohama, not BFG) marked as "in stock" from an Amazon vendor and I jumped on them. I guess we'll see if they show up. If not, back to square one.
Was not my plan to be tire shopping right now but I need the vehicle on the road and it can't go there without new ones. Or at least on the way to get new ones.
If they come in I usually use King tire off of orange. They will do larger tires

Going to step into this thread as I am now looking at moving to the Roanoke area. In all reality I could be working in and around Roanoke and or in Radford exclusively (just some side information). I used to spend summers in Christiansburg and have always wanted to call the area home.
Starting to spend some time on the realtor websites, looking forward to the change.
One last question (for now), the 60 is desmogged, will that cause any concerns ?

So I finally the 99 LX back on the road, and back from Larry, after it being down for over 2 months. Just in time for fall weather and camping! I'm going to go camp on Potts next weekend, thinking about hitting the trail but would prefer to have another vehicle with me. Anyone interested in camping, or just meeting to run the trail?
Otherwise, has there been any progress made on getting some sort of meeting together, formal or informal? I'd still love to do that if folks are interested. If so we should probably try soon before the holidays start taking up everyone's time again. I'm happy to help organize if that's what it takes to keep @Comet from showing up at my door again
Also, any further updates @LandSnoozer93 @mwalls54 on starting up anything sort of official?

Getting together is a great idea. Potts is currently more than my stock 100 can do. Camping out would be fun though. @Jason Walsh I will be plan on stopping by in my sons Isuzu Trooper at a time convenient for you.

Are you on Facebook? We have a group started on that star city land cruisers. We just ran Potts yesterday and had a small get together and camped on landsnoosers family land. We are looking at doing a restaurant meeting one day during the last week this month.
