Mounting Maxtrax to a factory roof rack

Hi everyone,

Getting a little tired of having no Maxtrax, or having them in the back. How do you like to mount them to the roof rack? Or is there a better way?

I think I mounted some once with some Niteize twist ties + straps on a roof, but it was not an 80 seies. Could try it again on the 80 if it sounds sensible enough.

single ratchet strap should do the job.

I don't have maxtrax but I have traction boards which I mounted to the stock roof rack, they came with really easy to use mounting brackets. I drilled holes into the traction boards to make it so that I could use the brackets diagonally and I put one on each cross bar. They are very solidly on there and easy to remove and put back on.
