Okay I am ready to mount my coilover and would like to here what kind of angle you run them on .I read the writeup but I see coilovers mounted on angles alot and was just wondering what is the rule of thumb when mounting them? thanks

If you mount them inboard a bit you can get more travel out of a shorter shock.

mine are inboarded in like 20 odd degrees.

straight up and down is best, but at 80*, you only lose 3% effectiveness IIRC.

Plan out the arc your axle will travel in as it moves, and keep that in mind when fabbing the mounts...

I agree. The only word of caution...

I have found that the more you angle in your springs, air shocks or coilovers, the more body roll you will allow. Keep the angles front or rear and in or out as low as possible.

Not necessarily straight, but not angled like OEM Toyota mini truck shocks either.

Open Jeep Dana 30

Powerlock Ford Dana 70

I just think the size difference is hilarious so I took pics of them out of them when I was swapping the 60/70 into my old rig.

sweet....I was hoping the one on the right was a cruisers..... still funny tho...

I know the Fj60 weighs less than the 80...But I was thinking of using a set of 80 springs. any thoughts?

The funny thing is that the only thing I miss is the wheeling. I hope to have that cured soon enough.
