So I am not the most inclined person, mechanically. I wanted to put a hitch on my 04 LC and I found one that would fit it through Uhaul. It's a Curt. My buddy who is mechanically inclined, and is in fact a mechanic, said he would put it on for me. At some point, the previous owner had a receiver hitch put on and then removed. This left the mounting holes stripped out and the bolts will not hold the receiver to the frame. The solution right now is to fabricate a piece of metal to slide into the frame with pre-drilled holes that the the bolts can get a bite on and mount it that way. If anyone has a better idea, I am most definitely all ears. TIA.

are all 6? holes stripped?
could you tap out to a larger size, maybe even standard versus metric?

What I had done with with mine was had the fabricator bolt it in place where they could, which held it and then they welded it to the frame. Ive towed a bit with it and so far doesn't seem to have any problems
