MotionX-GPS HD no longer providing road and terrain map tiles? (1 Viewer)

I thought there was something wrong with my iPad as the tiles weren't downloading. It appeared to download, took a long time, but at the end of the day the total size was "0B".

Can someone confirm this and it's not just me?

Any other good mapping programs for the iPad?

Gaia app

So the Gaia app. If I buy the premium can I use it for my iPad and my iPhone? Or do I have to Pick one device and use it? I’d like to use my new iPad and I have several others. I don’t understand the phone carrier thing but I have an older iPad as well with it. And would like to have my kids...

Looks like MotionX is maybe finally done. #SadFace

I've been using most of the available apps and run several parallel. MotionX has been the main since 2011 but Gaia has been #2. Gaia Features and capabilities are better than Mx however the one thing Gaia sucks at is it ergonomics. Its difficult to use when you are rolling down the road. Mx's interface is simple and sized well.

I used MotionX as well, but found their app/user interface difficult to master. Stopping and starting of track recording for one was painful in MX, whereas Gaia has made it easy. Navigating folders on Gaia is not great, and I learned quickly that it's best to set up your planned trips on the desktop/browser interface first. And hide layers as needed too, so that your map isn't too cluttered with waypoints from other trips.
