I built this FJ40 to keep forever and feel it shows in the details. Invited and attended Peterson’s 4wheel & Offroad Magazine “Ultimate Adventure” two years in a row, 2019 & 2020. Last year my son and I drove it to Montana, wheeled all week and drove back home to AZ. I wouldn’t-hesitate to do it again tomorrow.

Details:
- Chevy crate 350
- TH350 built by Just Racing TransmissIons
- Advanced Adapters Orion HD transfer case
- Widened FJ62 front axle, full RBF truss, Six Shooter knuckles, Bobby Long shafts, drilled & dowelled hubs,
ARB locker, 4x4 Labs arms & tie-rod behind the axle, PSC hydro assist system
- FZJ80 rear axle, full float disc brakes, RBF truss, ARB locker.
- RBF three link front suspension with 14” ORI struts
- RBF rear four link suspension with 16” ORI struts
- Warn 9.5cti winch w/wired & Wireless remotes
- Hand bent custom stainless steel plumbing with AN fittings throughout

Way too many details to list them all and I’m I’m sure I’m leaving stuff out.

Asking $65,000

@Evergreen12 Such a beautiful rig. I remember watching this build 10 or so years ago on Pirate. It was probably further back that that, maybe 2008/2009 or so. Awesome to see you finished it, sad to see you selling it. One of the nicest I've seen. This is right up there with an FC187 build.

What is your wheelbase and what is you WMS width front & rear if you know off top of your head?

Wheelbase is 105”. Rear is stock FZJ80 with. Front is about 1.5” wider if my memory serves. Thank you for the kind words!

Are you running any wheel spacers front or rear? Are the Falkens 40" tires? Again, so bummed you are selling this after all the years of blood sweat and tears/beers!!! This is one of the best ever built!

Anything you would change on it? Feel the need for a sway bar, or all good without one?

I did add wheel spacers to the front when I switched over to the FZJ80 rear. Tires are 38.5” Falkens. In a perfect world I’d keep it forever as I’d intended but life changes.

I wouldn’t change anything at all. It’s incredibly stable in all situations offroad. Zero unloading when climbing, descending or sidehilling. It’ll lean pretty good around corners on the road if you get into the gas but I’ve daily driven it a lot and it’s very enjoyable to drive on the street. Cruises at 75-80 no problem. Zero balance on the Falkens and they’re smooth as glass.
